ZoomBoard is the newest variation of a balance board with a cylindrical rocker that rolls freely underneath it. The earliest and most widely recognised commercial balance boards were the famous Bongo Board, invented in the early 1950's by Stanley Washburn, who had gotten the idea from a toy that he witnessed children playing on while serving in WWII in Africa.
